watched 『霸王别姬』 last night. it’s a good show ne~ demo, very sad. poor dieyi (aka leslie cheung’s character ) xiaolou (aka the seme… some guy dunno who ne~ ) was @#$%! *whack whack whack* and, the person on the cover is gong li not leslie cheung ne~ *relieved* from a *cough* rabid *cough* fangirl perspective it’s highly educational cos, yanno, the ning da understands better the seme/uke dynamics (& possibilities) now ne~ xiaolou is the weaker character ne? at least emotionally yo~ it was always dieyi & juxian (his wife aka gong li) who supported and had to go save him ne~ 
not to mention he was a callous arrogant pig yo~ even though he’s the 霸王, the concubine was the real king of the opera ne~ demo demo demo~ the ning da kept on thinking of ♥&peace whilst watching ne~

had the kino staff searching all over for the novel version of がんばっていきまっしょい today. they found it eventually (after identifying it as the new anne suzuki drama ), but not before a lot of trouble and consulting some japanese staff member… whilst we were laughing evilly/psychotically/dementedly ne~ (and k8 are officially all evil/psycho/demented *pick one or some or all* ) demo ne~ didn’t buy in the end and they didn’t have the chinese version yo~ the ning da feels bad for the staff yo~ but kino actually has good service now yo~ the book is surprisingly thin though~ only 224 pages ne~ no wonder the first ep is so draggy.
